Pursue your purpose

"CAN ANYONE REMEMBER WHEN THE TIMES WERE NOT HARD, AND MONEY NOT SCARCE": Ralph Waldo Emerson, 1870. Let's stay focused on what is available and achievable, rather than what is not! The media is dripping with fear, doubt and scarcity. Become a person of faith, purpose and abundance. Set your goals and push forward with enthusiasm, prayer and persistence, the world needs someone to give them hope, why not you!

Only you can create your future

THE BEST WAY TO PREDICT YOUR FUTURE IS TO INVENT IT. I often ask people "where do you see yourself in five years" and the most common answers are "I don't know" or "what will be will be" or "that depends if I win lotto". It is important for you to decide your future, to visualise it, write it down, speak about it, dream it, believe it, pray about it and work towards it. Then you will truly be able to predict it.

Learn to play the game of life

Life is the only game, where the object of the game is to learn the rules. You have been given the opportunity to play in the greatest game of the universe. Find a coach; ask, read, listen, learn and make the effort to get off the bench. There is no half time, no second time around, this is your one chance! Get in and have a go before the game is over!

Think and grow rich

"Think and grow rich" contains some powerful messages and is often the first personal development book read by many people. It is worth considering that the words used in the title could be applied to our own life. When we take the time to "think", to slow down a little, to relax, to plan, to dream, to pray, to read, to smile, to reach out; then we grow rich in health, faith, friends, family and finance.

Keith Lightfoot

"Today is the first day of the rest of your life" ... you can be someone who lights up a room with your enthusiasm, energy and encouragement, or you can be a person who makes the room a little brighter when you leave ... how you choose to live from this point on is entirely up to you!

Our Busy days

If we would give the same amount of reflection to what we want to get out of life, as we give to the question of what to do with our precious two weeks vacation, we would be shocked at our own false standards and the aimless procession of our so called "busy days".

Keep Life Simple

I always wanted to be somebody but I should have been more specific! So keep life simple, turn every adversity into a victory, avoid watching for a knock in your motor and make the present moment a success. This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!

640k Was Enough!

Computers have always been a part of my life and I can still remember the days when 640k was more than enough any person! At first we thought the PC was a calculator, then we thought it was a typewriter, then a television, an encyclopedia, a gaming device, a messaging system and now home computers are being called upon to perform many new functions including the consumption of homework previously eaten by the dog.

Faith, Family and Friends

As sand passes through the hourglass of our life, the clearer we see through it. But most of what a person knows at 50, that he did not know at 21 is for the most part unable to be communicated. This is not the knowledge of formulas, facts and numbers; it is gained by listening, touching and loving; it is the sum of life’s successes and setbacks; it is the realignment of our priorities into Faith, Family and Friends.

Tokens of Wisdom

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it. The cost may seem high at the time, and in hindsight we may have chosen a different path, but if we look for the benefit in the outcome and not focus on the adversity, then the lesson becomes priceless and we get to deposit another small token of life into our personal bank of wisdom.
